1. LELA LINGERIE Aster Triangle Bra
Sustainability: Made in Sydney, GOTS Certified Organic Cotton, Vegan
Why we love it:
Locally made in Sydney using GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified organic cotton, Lela’s Aster Triangle Bra is both comfy and cute, designed for everyday wear.
With most manufacturing migrating overseas, it’s pretty rare to find any brand, let alone a lingerie brand, that is locally made end-to-end in this way.
But Lela founder, Felicity Ieraci, was persistent. “It’s been amazing working locally as the ability to physically go and visit whenever I need to makes things easier. I have also been able to personally meet our makers which is such an important part of manufacturing a product with ethical and sustainable values.”
We love the versatility of this classic, wireless, triangle cut bra. The easy-to-wear crop comes with adjustable straps, a hook and eye back band, and a low-cut front that works well under any top.
It’s not your average flimsy triangle bra either. The cups feature a double layer of fabric that give you a little extra support and lot of extra confidence.
All Lela products are also vegan, in line with Felicity’s approach to life. “Lela is an extension of my personal values. I’ve become very aware of the products I use and these days I take the time to understand if they are toxic or damaging to myself, the environment and those who make them. I’ve always had a love for animals as well, so I removed meat from my diet a few years back and became vegan around 2 years ago. Keeping our products at Lela vegan and cruelty free was something I decided from the outset (this means no silk or wool will be used).”

Sustainability: Biodegradable Bamboo, Sustainable Production
Why we love it:
Sustainability aside, these are literally the softest undies we have ever worn. So the fact that the bamboo used to make them is both sustainability produced and biodegradable, makes them a real win-win.
The luxe bamboo fabric is not only super soft, it is also super breathable. Which was an important factor for Vee founder, Emma Rutherford-Ward. “After my battle with recurring yeast infections and finding the root cause to be synthetic underwear, I was baffled by the lack of consideration and communication around female health in the lingerie industry.”
We love the fit of the bikini brief because it offers coverage where it counts yet is low-rise enough to make them easy to wear under everything. We also love the little lace trim detail, just for a little bit extra.

Sustainability: GOTS Certified Organic Cotton, Plant-Based Dyes, Ethical Production
Why we love it:
This bestselling underwire bra is the perfect balance of comfort and support, with the added benefit of sustainability.
Made from GOTS certified organic cotton that has been coloured using plant-based dyes (the sage green colour is derived from a combination of clitoria flowers and tacoma flowers), we love the way this bra both wears and washes.
The lined, seam-free cups offer coverage and a smooth profile under clothing (whilst the larger cup sizes 12F, 14DD, 16DD, 16F and 16G feature seamed cups for even more support).
The cotton-based elastic straps (which are naturally curled but sit flat when the bra is being worn) provide a little extra give and added comfort.
With a strong focus on the environment and community, NICO’s luxe minimalist intimates are designed using sustainable fibres (like GOTS certified organic cotton and Lenzing tencel modal) and are made ethically in Tirupur, India (where NICO has established a close relationship with their on-ground production team).

Sustainability: GOTS Certified Organic Cotton, Bamboo, Community
Why we love it:
We love this everyday crop for its plunge-front neckline, and soft, sustainable fabric.
Designed with comfort in mind, the front-closing bra offers an elasticated back band that’s made to move with you. It’s also makes for bra back strap that you want to show off, perfect for pairing with backless tops or outfits with low back-lines.
We also love that it comes in a range of 5 inclusive nudes.
The local Sunshine Coast-based brand is all about creating elevated basics, which is why The Unseen founder - Caitlyn Overall - chooses to make her intimates from “a blend of certified organic cotton (which is grown without the use of pesticides) and bamboo yarn (which is processed within a closed loop system so that water is recycled and no chemicals can escape and pollute surrounding local communities)”.
When you shop The Unseen at BITS, you’re also giving to those struggling with their own unseen crises, with 5% of profits being donated to support those impacted by domestic violence, homelessness or personal trauma.

Sustainability: GOTS Certified Organic Cotton, Small Batch Production
Why we love it:
Featuring GOTS certified organic cotton and booty-enhancing ruching, these super cute knickers make everyday more fun.
Eco Intimates are designed in Byron Bay and made ethically by a small team of home-makers in Bali, Indonesia.
Being environmental has always been a way of life for Eco Intimates founder Madonna Bain, “my late father was extremely passionate about having a light footstep and leaving the planet in a better state for his children. He was a musician and I grew up with his beautiful songs urging us to listen and put the planet first”.
The Eco Intimates mission is to make lingerie that is “as natural as possible, and as environmentally friendly as possible. But I found road-blocks creating wearable well-fitting pieces without using components and elastics (rings, sliders, bra straps, plush elastic, bra backs…), so I realised quickly that I needed be flexible and use a combination of elastane and high quality composites with these natural fabrics”.

Sustainability: Reusable, Vegan
Sizes: Size 1 – Regular, Size 2 - Large
Why we love it:
Not only do we love that the The Period Cup prevents unnecessary landfill, we also love that it helps to get in touch with your cycle.
As Scarlet co-founder Ash Hipwood says, “for so long periods have been approached with a set and forget mindset. I mean, we’ve all flushed a tampon in our time just to avoid dealing with it. The reality of it is we will use around 10,000-12,000 disposable period products in our lifetime, and considering the fact we will bleed for around 40 years of our life… well that’s just a shit tonne of waste”.
Using a period cup for the first time can be a little bit daunting, but once you get into the swing of things, they are super simple to use and it’s a great way to really understand what’s going on with your body each month - which can be especially helpful for those with reproductive issues or those trying to get pregnant.
Scarlet offer two sizes, so you can choose the right cup for you and your flow. Size 1 Regular holds up to 2.5 REGULAR tampons worth of fluid, typically ideal for those who have not given birth or are under 30 years old. Whilst Size 2 Large holds up to 2 SUPER tampons worth of fluid, making it ideal for people who have given birth or are over 30 years old.
Along with The Period Cup, Scarlet also offer a range of reusable Period Undies as well as tampons made from GOTS certified organic cotton for those that prefer the more traditional approach to period care.
